Term and Conditions of Bookings

  1. A flat deposit of 25% is payable at the time of booking, with full payment to be made no less than eight weeks prior to the start date. Bookings made less than eight weeks prior to the start date must be paid for in full at the time of booking. CANCELLATION of the booking will result in loss of all deposits.
  2. Bookings commence at 4pm on the day of arrival. Please ensure that you have left the building completely by 10am on the day of departure.
  3. All fuel and power is included during your stay.
  4. During your stay we provide all bedding, bed linen and one set of hand and bath towels per person. Hand and tea towels are provided for the kitchen, along with the usual cleaning materials, washing detergent and dishwasher detergent.
  5. Duddon Villa may be booked for a maximum of 12 persons. Additional infants may be included providing they are in separate cots but we ask that you mention this when booking. We have two cots that are available for guests use but please request these at the time of booking. We do not provide bedding for cots.
  6. We are happy to arrange for you to be met at Millom railway station and transported to Duddon Villa but please contact us beforehand with details of arrival times and numbers of passengers.
  7. We ask that you report any breakages or damage as soon as possible so that we can arrange for replacement items or repairs. We do not make a charge for accidental breakages or damage caused in the normal daily use of property or equipment.
  8. Duddon Villa is furnished to a high standard. A fee will be charged if any damage caused by unreasonable behaviour, or reckless misuse of property occurs.
  9. Please leave the house as you would wish to find it. Should excessive cleaning be required following departure we reserve the right to deduct the cost of this additional cleaning from the bond.
  10. Duddon Villa is in a family environment; Jenny and her family live in the grounds with their own pets. Visitors should be aware that we want you to enjoy your stay and for us to enjoy having you as our neighbour, if you have any problems during your stay, we are always on hand to help resolve them. We request that you behave in an appropriate manner; anti-social or nuisance behaviour will not be tolerated and could result in termination of the booking with loss of bond and without refund.

  13. Toilets on the 2nd floor are fitted with Saniflo, any blockages that occur from misuse, ie; flushing baby wipes, will incur a £100 charge for the system to be unblocked.
